Hi I'm Sarah, founder of WHD
I grew up in the beautiful town of Aberdare, nestled in the heart of South Wales. While my professional journey began in a completely different world, the Royal Air Force! My passion for creating beautiful, welcoming homes has been a constant thread throughout my life.
After proudly serving in the RAF for over 22 years, I’ve had the unique experience of moving house 20 times. Yes, 20! Each move became more than just a relocation; it was a fresh start, a blank canvas. No matter where in the world I was posted, I always looked forward to turning a new house into a home, making it feel warm, stylish, and uniquely mine.
Although my career in the military wasn’t connected to interior design on paper, I’ve developed an incredible range of transferable skills, attention to detail, organisation, project management, adaptability, and a strong work ethic. All of these qualities have seamlessly translated into my home staging work.
Over the years, I’ve come to truly understand the emotional and practical side of moving. I know what it takes to create a space that speaks to potential buyers, one that feels
lived-in but not personal, stylish but not overwhelming, aspirational yet achievable.
Now, I bring all of that experience, insight, and passion into my home staging services.
